Marina:

Happy New Year!!! We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and Thanksgiving, and we send good wishes to you for the New Year. If you have not been to the Marina lately, we finished our upgrade project on K-Dock and we will be starting on a J-Dock within the next few weeks. We want to thank everyone for their patience while these projects are going on. J-Dock will hopefully be completed by February and, we are hoping to begin on L-Dock next, if weather and time permit.

We have had a few pretty strong wind storms over the last month and we want to encourage people to come and check on their boats when you are able. Our Maintenance staff have been working hard to check on boats during these storms.

The Marina has been having an unusually bad Seagull problem this winter. We have been working hard to keep the docks as clean as we possibly can and we are currently looking into some different deterrent methods to cut down on the Seagull population.

We do want to remind everyone that Seagulls are legally protected by the Migratory Bird Law. It is illegal to harm, hunt or kill any of these birds. People may be fined if they are reported and found guilty of harming these birds.

Lastly, for all of our Owners, we had our Annual General Meeting at the beginning of December. The meeting went very well and we want to thank everyone who attended. Also, we had our first wine tasting that was directly after the meeting and that was a huge success. For any owners that were not able to make it to the meeting, you may pick up an AGM packet that was handed out at the meeting at the office or you can call and one can be mailed to you. Also, we will have the AGM minutes available on the Owners website at a little later date.

Thank You for being a part of the Marina this past year and we hope this year will be an even better year.

If you have not had a chance to stop in at the store lately, now is a good time to check out the latest changes. We are currently featuring a small art gallery with local artists work. Currently we are featuring work by Mark Bergsma. Stop by the store and see his beautiful work. While you are here, check out the new products that the store is carrying. We are constantly getting new products in and enlarging our deli food selection. If you have any suggestions of things you would like the store to carry, please do not hesitate to let us know. Don’t forget, we can order any boating supplies you need at substantial savings.
